I write, too. I’ve reported essays about vintage saxophones and the laws of cricket. I’ve written about Drum Corps International and organs. I’ve done stories about the putter maker Scotty Cameron, the YouTube chef Andrew Rea, and the financial schemes surrounding Pokemon cards.

I’ve spent time with Wynton Marsalis at the Metropolitan Opera House and talked to a bunch of band leaders about getting on TV and then getting fired. In a past life, I wrote a lot about tennis. What I’m trying to say is: I’m always looking around for a good story.
